Plus campaign with Polish Red Cross (PCK)
Plus, as the participant of the program launched a special SMS service. The whole net income will be transferred for meals for hungry children. By sending an SMS saying POMOC (HELP) to number 7300 Plus subscribers can donate 3 PLN for this right cause. The above amount will be used for preparing a full meal for one hungry child.
Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity (WOŠP)
For many years Plus has been supporting the finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity action. Plus donates money for statutory activities of WOSP Foundation. During the finale, Plus Customer Service Reps answer calls at the phone lines during the TV auction. Also dedicated SMS numbers are activated to enable donations to the organization's account.
Help for children and youth
Particular attention is attached by Plus to support for organizations and institutions which help children and youth. Support covers selected orphanages, the Economic Education Foundation which supports particularly gifted children from poor families, the Safe Childhood Foundation which organizes vacation stays for children from poor communities, or the "Family First" Society, an organization which works for ill and handicapped children.
Aid for animals
Cooperation with institutions which aid animals also occupies an important place in the company's charity activities. For several years now Plus has been cooperating in this area with the Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, while supporting the shelters which belong to this organization. Support is also given to Fokarium na Helu marine station in the Hel Peninsula.
Healthcare
Cooperation with renown healthcare institutions has special place in our operations. We supported the scientific research programs of the Robert Koch Foundation at the Tuberculosis and Lung Disease Institute in Warsaw as well as the Institute of Physiology and Pathology of Hearing.
Polkomtel Sp. z o.o. also cooperates with Dr Clown Foundation which conducts therapy through laughter and fun. Also many other organizations and institutions have benefited from the support offered by Polkomtel Sp. z o.o..
